cool morning & happy sheep
It was cool and misty for a little while this morning as a cold front was moving through. The sheep were happy as clams, out in the pasture grazing. It was a nice break from lying low and panting as they have for the past few weeks. This summer has been hotter and more humid than normal and no fun for "man nor beast". Here are some of my sheep looking very happy (also looking confused as to why I am taking their picture):

The pasture is greener than it looks nearer the ground since we have had a few days of rain recently. (Note the color of the nice green hayfield in front.) But there are some taller yellow sprigs from where it wanted to go to seed when it has very hot out and the grass was trying to go domant. When the pasture dries off, this yellow stuff needs to be mowed down to encourage the grass in the pasture to grow.
