More cute lamb photos (catching up)

Here are some cute lamb photos from early May.

I have a grassy paddock attached to my barn that we call "the lamb pen".  So as long as the weather permits, as soon as the lambs are ready to come out of their "jugs" (lambing pens) and run around loose in the barn with the other ewes and lambs, they get to go out in the lamb pen too.  There is a big sliding door on the side of the barn that opens out into that pen, so they just go in and out as they want and it isn't a big enough space to really get separated from their mom.

On cold nasty or stormy days, the door stays closed.  We have windows up high that we can open and close to ventilate the barn without having drafts down at lamb height.  As we take the jugs down, we leave a few heat lamps hanging as "community lamps".  On cold nights, they sometimes still sleep under them.

Eventually, the lambies really start to grow and they got to make their first trips out into the "big world" of the pasture.

Here are Pilvi's ram lambs at about a week old.  I took their lamb coats off so a potential buyer could see their pretty birth wool.

Pilvi's white ewe lamb (standing) and ram lamb (lying down) one week old:

Sini (see-nee) -- Annika's grey ewe lamb.  You can see in this photo that she is turning greyer.  She is almost one month old in this photo.

Katja's triplets -- small ewe (front), Laila (pronounced lila) (middle), wether lamb (rear).  They are a little over 2 weeks old here.  See?  I told you they had nice sized frames and now their "cuteness" has arrived!

Making friends with Rio, the Great Pyrenees (LGD).  Mara's Panda ewe lamb is the one touching noses here with her black sister (wearing the lamb coat) behind her.  Lumi's grey ram lamb is behind the black ewe lamb.  You can see the grey wool coming in on his rear end.

Running!
