Baby lambs growing up

This is Taivo, my grey ram lamb.  His father was a Kainu Grey Finnsheep in Finland.  He is one of my lambs out of the AI. It appears that he will be light grey (or "water grey" as they call it in Finland).  His wool was black at birth but soon started changing.  It looks like he will be a very pale silver, that you have to examine closely to see that it is not white.  Taivo is almost 6 month old now.

Here is a side view of him walking.

This is his twin brother, Vesa (also a ram lamb).  He is white, but there is a 50% chance that he carries for grey.  I kept him as a "back up" to his brother because these genetics are so precious.

The three ewe lambs that I kept this year are

Eeva (left), Sini (middle), and Laila (right).  Eeva is white but genetically has one or two brown genes.  This means she either carries for brown or secretly "is" brown covered by the white which is considered a "pattern" that inhibits the expression of the color.  Sini is grey and her father was a Kainu Grey Finnsheep in Finland.  She may end up being slightly darker than Taivo, who is her half-brother.  Laila is white and probably black factored.

Here is another photo of Sini looking a little camera shy.  She is one of our cutest lambs ever! (IMHO)
